Monday evening the Rev. and Mrs. Charles Kindred were dinner guests of the Rev. and Mrs. Edgar Cahoun at Etlan. Other guests were the Rev. and Mrs. Charles Edmonds of Orange. Mr. Cahoun has resigned from his present churches and will be a chaplain with the U. S. Army. Sgt. and Mrs. David Streagle and daughter Shannon left Tues day for Parris Island, S. C. where Sgt. Streagle will be stationed with the U. S. Marine Corps. The Streagles have been visiting Mrs. Streagle's mother, Mrs. Sarah Latham. Sunday Mrs. Latham, Susan Latham and Sgt. and Mrs. Streagle and Shannon were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. John D. Peck in Herndon. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Fincham of Arlington and Mrs. C. C. Cockerill, Herndon.
Mrs. John Poe, Mrs. Bertha Riley, Mrs. Jennie Smith and Miss Irva Poe spent Thursday in Baltimore, Md. where they visited Mrs. Joe Johnson. Tommy Stover, who has been a patient in Perry Point Hospital, Md., spent the weekend at his home here, returning Monday to the hospital. Mrs. A. C.
