James Williams Green, 74,

James Williams Green, 74, of Orange and Culpeper, editor and publisher of the Orange Review, and president of Green Publishers, Inc., diled Monday, May 24, 1965 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital. Na tive of Culpeper, he w as born Dec. 31, 1890, son of Angus M. Green, founder of the Culpeper Exponent amd Sara h Howland Taylor, of Rappaha nnock County. A '.Yorld War I veteran, he was captain of the Culpeper Minute Men and took a company from Culpeper to the Mexican border campaign. Following this service, he was postmaster at Culpeper and then r ecalled to active serv ice in World War I, serving with the A.EF as a captain with t:he 29th Division and after the war wi th Army of Occupation, return ing to this country in 1919. He w.as associated with his uncle, the late Raleigh Traver s Green in publication of the Culpeper Exponent until 1931, when he went to Orange and reactivated The Orange Review, which had suspendled publication during World War I. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Hellen Armstrong Green, Culpeper; four sons, James Williams, Jr., Connecticut;
