Old Dominion Eye Bank, the Virginia depository for human eye tissue which is operated under the sponsorship of the Lions Clubs of Eastern Virginia.

Over 25,000 Virginians have now registered with the Eye Bank their desire to donate their eyes on death to the organization. Eye tissue from human eyes, particularly the cornea or lens of the eye, can be used to restore sight to blind individuals whose loss of sight was caused by defective or diseased corneas.
