Interesting findings on the question of party loyalty and on (lie degree of shifting that has taken place in prior election years have been reported by the University of Michigan’s Survey Research Center. They were based upon thousands of interviews with voters in all parts of the country.
The conclusion reached is that a person usually picks his party early in life, generally before age 30, and that his attachment is amazingly stable thereafter.
