Mrs. Charlie Burke returned Tuesday from Culpeper Memorial Hospital after being a patient two weeks for tests and observation. Mrs. Yager Burke of Clinton, Md. stayed in the Burke home during her absence where Mr. Burke joined her for the weekend. They returned home on Sunday.
June Corbin is spending some time with Mr. and Mrs. George C. Hawkins in Alexandria.
A “get-together” party of retired Railway Postal clerks and their families was held last Tuesday at Big Meadows on the Skyline Drive. Present were Mrs. R. E. Ryan and Gary Woods of Culpeper, Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Johnson of Woodville, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Perkins of Sperryville, Mr. and Mrs. Emerson Wise and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Fravel, of Harrisonburg.
Mrs. Amos Butler, with her son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Winston S. Seibert and daughter Becky of Takoma Park, Md., drove to Bridgewater College recently, where their son Johnny enrolled as a student.
C. B. Johnson is improved after being on the sick list for several days. The Johnson’s Sunday evening visitors were Mr. and Mrs. Jim P. Quaintance, Mrs. Harry Quaintance and Mrs. C. C. Carder, all of Culpeper.
Mrs. Amos Butler makes frequent trips to visit her brother Jesse Hawkins who is a patient in Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Johnson were dinner guests of relatives in Richmond last Sunday.
