4-H Winners at
Va. State Fair Anne Baumgardner of Washington, Va., with her pony, i Rockbum’s Kings Daughter, was I named State Champion in the I Small Hunter Pony competition at the seventh annual 4-H Horse and Pony Show held at the Virginia State Fair in Richmond on September 20 and 21. She was , awarded the tri color ribbon and a silver platter Saturday night. Anne, the daughter of Mr. and ' Mrs. F. M. Baumgardner, ! competed with 26 other small ponies. Mary Lib Snead, daughter of j Judge and Mrs. R. V. Snead of I Washington, also competed in the . 4-H classes with her pony, Ad , Lib. 'Ihere were 41 contestants in , one class, and in a class of Fitting , and Showmanship the girls competed with 91 entries, j They returned to their home Sunday tired, but happy.
