4-H Horse & Pony

Show on Saturday

This Saturday, May 30, the 4-H Horse and Pony Club of Rappahannock will have its annual horse show starting at 9:30 a.m. The show is to be held at Fairlea Farm, Washington, Va., the home of Judge and Mrs. R. V. Snead. There will be five championship divisions, including Hunter Horses, Large Ponies and Small Ponies, Pleasure Horse or Pony and Beginners (for those who have never won a blue ribbon).

Five ribbons will be awarded in each class and silver is also given for first place. Judging the show will be Thomas W. Ross of Gordonsville. F. M. Baumgardner will act as ringmaster and John R. DeBergh will be announcer.

The entry fee is $1.50 per class with the exception of fitting and showmanship and conformation.

Admission is free and lunch will be served on the grounds.
