scheduled for release in these streams this year and in addition I will give the number released the past three years which covers the period I've been in Rappahannock County.
The Rush River was not stocked at all in 1968 because some landowners or leasees objected to it being open to the public for Ashing; however, it was re-opened in 1969 but allotment figures were not sent me on this. It is safe to say that at least 1900 trout were put in the Rush that year. 1970 flgures show that a thousand Ash were released in the Rush before the season opened; 750 were placed there in May and 500 more in June, making a total of 2250, a considerable increase.
