Wednesday night Mrs. C. B. Palmer, Miss Mary Miller Wood with Mrs. F. W. Schaefer and Mrs. Muy B. Quaintance of Sperryville were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Baumgardner in Annandale and later attended a performance of Art Buchwald’s “Sheep on the Runway” at the National Theatre in Washington, D.C.
Virginia Wildlife Rates Going Up
Subscription rates for the Virginia Game Commission’s Virginia Wildlife magazine will be increased from the present $1.50 per year rate to $2.00 per year on July 1. The three year subscription rate will be increased from $3.50 to $5.00. This is the first increase in rates since 1960. Escalating printing and paper costs coupled with higher postal rates made the increase necessary. Subscriptions at the current rates of $1.50 per year, $3.50 for 3 years will be accepted until the July 1 deadline. Your local Game Warden will be glad to handle your ^subscription.
