Slow Pitch Softball

League Organized

A slow-pitch softball league has been formed in the Amissville and Warren ton area and is known as the Tri-County Slow Pitch League. It has five member teams, Charted Industries, Warrenton Training Center, Amissville, Viewtown and Village. Warrenton Training Center has been the pace-setter in the first weeks of play. The season started on May 4 and will run through September 3. An All-Star game will be held at the halfway mark of the season and a post season play-off between winners of the first and second halves for the championship.

Last week Viewtown took advantage of Amissville’s mistakes In the first inning to win 8-6. And Viewtown tied for first place by beating Charted Industries 2-0 after Charted had defeated Warrenton Training Center 20-18 to hand them their first defeat of the season. Charted recorded her second victory of the week by nipping Amissville 7-6 by scoring four funs In the sixth. In the only other action of the week, WTC beat Village by a score of 13-2.
