As a member of a non-profit foundation, Mr. Kindred gave personal experiences of his contacts in this field and added local references to Rappahannock and nearby counties. Bill Lyne was inducted as a new member and zone governor Alton Atwood announced two important dates - Sept. 25th a meeting to select a new zone governor, and Nov. 14th the annual district meeting.
Fire School Set
On Two Weekends
> The sixth annual fire school to be held in Rappahannock County is' scheduled for Friday and Saturday, September 26 and 27 and again the following weekend, Friday and Saturday, October 3 and 4. The school will be held at Amissville fire hall and at the carnival grounds there from 8 a.m. until 4:45 p.m. each day.
The thirty-hour training course is made available to enlarge the scope of fire fighting methods with the newest techniques, equipment and apparatus. Included also is a session on rescue practices and power tools used in rescue emergencies.
The school is approved by the Industrial Education Service, State Department of Education and is sponsored by the Rappahannock County Fire and Rescue Association.
