Mr. and Mrs. J. Rodes Brown of Sperryville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday night at the home of their daughter, Mrs. P. Lee Thornton. Others present were Mr. and Mrs. Rodes Brown, Jr. and children Margaret and Rodes, III of Tazewell, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Brown and sons David and Mike of Hamilton, Major and Mrs. A. Paul Thompson of Fork Union and Robert L. Brown of Woodville.

Bridge With Mrs. Davis

Mrs. George H. Davis, Jr. entertained the Washington Bridge Club and additional guests Thursday evening at her home on Gay Street. Her guests were Mrs. F. W. Spalding, Mrs. Harry Lee Smith, Mrs. Elmo D. Flynt, Mrs. E. M. Jones, Mary T. C. Lea, Mrs. L. J. Turner, Mrs. W. H. Massie, Jr., Mrs. W. F. Moffett, Jr., Mrs. Mary Quaintance, Mrs. Fred Schaefer, Mrs. R. E. Wood and Mrs. B. J. Wood.

Prizes were won by Mrs. Flynt, Mrs. Quaintance, Mrs. Lea and Mrs. B. J. Wood.
