In Circuit Court

John E. McCoy of Elkton, Va. was fined $75 and costs on a plea of guilty to reckless driving in Rappahannock County Circuit Court when it convened Tuesday.

A number of other traffic cases appealed from County Court were amended on motion of the Commonwealth’s Attorney and fines imposed. They were Marshall P. Hawkins, Warrenton; Sanford M. Straight, Manassas; Janice Lee Brown, Sperryville; Paul Beiler, Virginia Beach; Brenda Mae Settle, Castleton; and Roger Paquin, Falls Church. An order on each case, signed by Judge R. V. Snead, read, in part, “on motion of the Attorney for the Commonwealth, the charge of speeding is amended to read improper driving.” A fine of $50 and court costs was imposed on each.

The case of John Franklin Taylor of White Top, Va. was nolle prosequi since he was charged with a felony and had not been sent to the grand jury.
