The Chester Gap Home Demonstration Club met Thursday night at the fire hall with 9 members present. Officers for the coming year were elected as follows: President, Mrs. Carolyn Leake; Vice-President, Mrs. Lillian Fox; Secretary, Mrs. LaMerle Williams; Treasurer, Mrs, Nora Sealock.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Wines returned home on Wednesday after a two week trip to Dallas, Texas, where they attended the World’s Conference of Assemblies of God Church. They were accompanied on their trip by the Rev. and Mrs. Alden Yates of Front Royal.
Mrs. Ethel Williams, Mrs. Lillian Fox, and Mrs. Maybelle Gilkey attended the Home Demonstration Achievement Program on Wednesday night at Amissville.
Mrs. Pet Smith left last week to spend the winter with her son and daughter-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Smith on the Strasburg Road. Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Williams and family of Front Royal visited Stanley Williams on Sunday afternoon. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Dickie Williams and Mr. and Mrs. Scotty Lockhart at the Williams home Sunday afternoon were Mrs. Betsy Wines of Chester Gap, Mrs. Anna Marie Mahoney, Joyce and Stevie, Tommy Young, Mrs. Mary Jean Campbell and Wanda, Mr. and Mrs. Kenny Williams, and Melissa, Mr. and Mrs. Junior Williams, Tina and Teressa, Mr. and Mrs. Winfred Priest and family, Mrs. Petsy Taylor, William, Lynn and Terry, all from Front Royal. Mr. and Mrs. Ermand Morris and Roger Lee, and Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Morris and Rocky, visited Mr. and Mrs. Prentiss Morris in Waldorf, Md., last weekend. Mrs. Marie Williams visited her sister Mrs. Lucy Graham in Front Royal on Tuesday night.
Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Reil and sons and Miss Nancy Moore of Front Royal were Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Williams.
Mr. and Mrs. Bradley Williams and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Leake were in Winchester on Wednesday.
Visitors of Mr. and Mis. Buster Mills over the weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Harris, Jr. and Tammy of Haymarket and Miss Shirley North.
