December first opens a new basketball season for the Rappahannock County Panthers. There are changes in coaches, players and opponents for the coming year. This article and one to follow next week will outline some of those changes and give you an idea of what to expect and look for as the season begins.
Two new coaches will make their debut when the Panthers take the floor the first Tuesday in December. Taking over the reigns of the varsity team will be Dean Hahn. Coach Hahn is in his second year at Rappahannock, having taught last year without coaching. He is well known to many in this area by his athletic career at Virginia Tech, where he lettered three years in baseball and also by his play in Valley league baseball, playing three years for the Luray Colonials and last year for the Shenandoah Indians.
