Madison Livestock Sales Top Million

The Fall Feeder Sales just completed at the Madison Livestock Market, Madison Mills, produced the biggest in the history of this market, both in volume and dollars. Sales totaled more than one million dollars with a turnover of about 6,500 head.

One of the biggest purchasers who came from Maryland, bought two very large lots and all together spent more than $105,000.

This was the first time the market used its newly expanded facilities. The new, second scale greatly facilitated handling, according to manager Doug Tucker. —-- ■ -- performance record sheet and mailed to the member to aid him in selecting and culling of his breeding cattle.
