In accordance with Public Law 91-248 and Revised Regulations of the National School Lunch Program, the Warren-Rappa* hannock County School Boards have adopted policies to implement the provisions of the new regulations.

The policy provides that lunches be served free or at a reduced price to those children determined by the local school officials to be unable to pay the full price for their lunches. The application procedure provides that a form be completed and returned to the school. Copies of the form will be furnished parents and additional copies will be available at the principal’s office in each school. The form is simple to complete and requests information needed to determine economic need based on income and number of persons in the family and any unusual circumstances or hardships which affect the family’s ability to pay for school lunches. The application information will be confidential and will be used only for the purpose of determining eligibility.

Under provisions of the policy, the principal is the local official
