Among the common skills young children should be encouraged to develop are those involving self-dressing. Being able to dress himself increases a child’s feelings of independence and self-sufficiency.
It is important to recognize the time when the child is ready to dress himself. His spontaneous interest in this regard will be quite ^evident but if he is not given the opportunity, that interest will be quickly shifted.
