Bradford Jr., who served as secretary and parade chairman for Flint Hill Department for nine of the 17 years of its existence, was awarded a plaque in recognition of his dedicated service. The presentation was made by fire company head, H. S. Barksdale at the annual firemen’s banquet held last Wednesday. It was accepted by Mrs. Bradford on her husband’s behalf, for he did not attend due to health reasons. Mr. Bradford resigned from the position of secretary but continues to organize the mamouth parade for Flint Hill Fire Company.
