Panther Tales

Our Panthers were victorious Monday when they defeated Luray with a score of 7-5. They have worked very-hard this season and their work has brought them through; congratulations PANTHERS!!!
The Annual Staff wishes to thank Mrs. Magarity for the fine dinner she gave Friday night at the Hampton Inn Restaurant. The Seniors are busy practicing for the play to be presented May 6th and 7th. They would like to express their appreciation to those people who came out and. supported them at the car wash Saturday. Our new Varsity and J.V. cheerleaders were selected this past Friday. Although some of the girls did not make it, everyone showed just how much spirit this school really has. Members of our new Varsity Squad are Betty Lee, Judy Alther, Brenda Printz, Cil Davis, Wendy Brown, Florence Turner, Jeanne St. Clair, Cassie Frye, and our two alternates are Nancy Jones, and Angela Dennis. Our J.V. cheerleaders, are Cheryl Poling, Carolyn Glascock, Mary Moore Kilby, Darlene iJett, Darlene Fox, Libby Snead,'Sally Grigsby, Nanette Butler, and alternates are Linda Atkins, Cindy Cummins, and Beth Parker. We are very proud of our new cheerleaders for we know they are fine representatives of the school!
The Rappahannock County High School would like to welcome Miss Sherrie Eller as our new choir and art teacher. Miss Eller has completed her requirements in music at Madison College. Her home is in Southwest Virginia and we are pleased to have her with us.
