The 26th Senatorial District Democratic Committee hereby gives notice that a Democratic Convention will be held on May 29, 1971, beginning at 2 p.m. at the Belle Meade Motel and Restaurant in Harrisonburg, Virginia, for the purpose of nominating a candidate to the Senate of Virginia. The 26th Senatorial District covers the counties of Culpeper, Madison, Rappahannock, Page, Rockingham, and the City of Harrisonburg. Delegates to the convention will be apportioned on the basis of one for every IOC votes, or the majority thereof, cast for William Battle in the 196S gubematoral election.
