Intent to adopt the reapportionment ordinance must be advertised for two weeks by the Board of Supervisors and if the Board determines it necessary a public hearing may be held concerning the ordinances before adoption.

To Vie April 30
All young ladies in Rappahannock County between the ages of 4 and 18 are eligible tc appear as contestants in the Beauty Pageant scheduled for Friday evening, April 30 beginning at 8 p.m. in the Rappahannock Elementary School auditorium. The pageant is sponsored by the Rappahannock Jaycees with J. V. Willis, Sperryville as chairman.
Judging will be done in four categories as follows: 4 through 7 in the first group; 8 through 12; 13 through 15 and 16 through 18. The first three groups will dress in street length dresses and the older age class will be required to wear evening dresses.
The first prize for each of the three younger classes will be a 825 Savings Bond, and the same prize will also go to the second and third place winners in the older group.
The pageant winner of the 16-18 bracket will be given a llOO cash prize. In addition, if and when she is enrolled in a school or college of her choice to continue her education, she will receive another $200 in cash.
Pageant contestants are sponsored by business firms or individuals and the fee is $3 each entry. There is no'limit and a sponsor may enter as many contestants as wished, as long as each is accompanied by the required fee. Any young lady who does not have a sponsor will be provided one, so she should not hesitate to enter the pageant. If you have not filled out an application for the contest, do so, or be present at the local elementary school for the rehearsal which will be held Thursday night, April 29 at 7 p.m. The more, the merrier, so girls, sign up.
