For Daylight Time
The annual switchover from Eastern Standard to Daylight Savings Time will be made this week-end, last Sunday in April. Residents are reminded to turn their clocks AHEAD one hour before retiring on Saturday night, in order to be on time for Sunday events.

George (Lynn) Turner Jr. of Portsmouth is a conditionally appointed trooper and has been assigned to Rappahannock County for his field training. He will work primarily with Trooper J. B. Willis of Sperryville and will take part in all phases of police work. He will later attend 21 weeks of school in Richmond before being assigned to a duty post. Mr. Turner is 25 years of age and is married. He is living in the home of Mrs. B. M. Miller while in i training here.
