In Ella Wilcox’ poem The Wind of Fate, she tells us that the set of the sails and not the gales determines the way a ship will go. In the second verse she states that its the set of the soul that decides its goal, and not the calm or the strife’. Thers are several types of wind, the winds that blow from different points of the compass. Good and bad winds for the sailor, soft winds that cool on a hot day. It is indeed an evil wind that blows no good.
I dreamed last night that I was attending a wedding reception at the home of the groom. While we were waiting for the wedding party to arrive, someone made a remark about the fierce wind that was blowing. Another said that the groom had come into that area and bought some property, chose a site in the lee of a large rock to build his home that would protect it from the prevailing wind. He didn’t investigate the possibility of the wind being constant. It so happened that the wind shifted with the seasons and at that time, it was blowing against an unprotected house. The groom, thinking his house was safe, didn’t build it as sturdy as he should. This friend told us that the wind was so strong at times, that it would even blow some parts off the house.
