A funeral service for Mrs. Hattie Richardson Clanagan will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the First Baptist Church, Washington, Va. conducted by the Rev. R. P. Pringle. Mrs. Clanagan died April 17, 1971, in Philadelphia. She was a native of Rappahannock County and one of the original members of First Baptist Church.
Miss Lillie Atkins
A graveside funeral service for Miss Lillie Maye Atkins, 61, of Sperryville was conducted Friday at 2 p.m. in the Sperryville Cemetery by the Rev. Jerry Campbell, Pastor of the Sperryville United Methodist Chruch. Miss Atkins died April 14,1971 at her home following a long illness. She was born in Sperryville, daughter of the late Jacob Menefee Atkins and Alice Elizabeth Jenkins Atkins. Surviving are three brothers, Wilbert C. Atkins of Sperryville; Raymond W. Atkins of Washington, D.C., and Edwin W. Atkins of Baltimore, Md. Pallbearers were Thomas Taylor, Paul Alther, Roy Leake, Charles Sisk, Cecil Atkins and Dick Atkins.
