We are four freshman students from RCHS who are interested in preserving the scenic beauty of Rappahannock County. And we’d like to share our opinions with you. It isn’t as though every week shouldn't be a “Keep our World Clean Week,’’ but this week just happens to be the special week, Earth Week. All over the country i people will be striving to clean-up i this giant garbage can that we’ve 3 made of our earth. * It's no wonder that people don’t ■ walk as much as they used to - who * wants to walk in trash knee-high? This is the week that we all * should make an extra effort to : keep things beautiful. We should i band together in a giant crusade, j in our own community, to keep 3 Rappahannock as the county with 3 undying beauty. People want to i visit Rappahannock - and it’s no 5 wonder. Let’s not let them be 3 disappointed “Keep Rappahannock Clean.” i Our community has been i provided with several dump 3 areas. Don’t you think the trash j would look better inside the S dumpsters? Trash breeds rats, rats breed disease, disease breeds death, and you’re Dead! People have to take a greater interest in the things around them. Wake up, people. What’s the matter? Don’t you care? Is Rappahannock doomed to become a deserted rural community? Definitely not! This is the cause for both old and young alike to unite and keep Rappahannock County out of the gutter.
