This map of Rappahannock County shows the magisterial districts with population figures and village locations as it presently stands. Though these districts will remain for land records and historical data, new lines for election districts must be established. This is required by the Voting Rights Act of 1965 and the new Virginia Constitution in order to have equal representation in county government. The election district lines will equalize the population by putting approximately the same number of people in each district. See story above.
