Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Fillingame and two children of Lynchburg were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cordani. They were joined for the day Sunday by Mr. and Mrs. Paul Henry and six children of Nokesville and Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Corbin and family of Manassas Park. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Poling and daughter Cheryl spent Sunday in Elkton and Harrisonburg. Mrs. John A. Tapp accompanied by Mrs. Maddox Tapp of Front Royal spent a week in Florida returning home Sunday night. While there they visited in Miami, Key West and Silver Spring. They were accompanied as far as Atlanta, Ga. by Mrs. William Tapp and son of Fairfax who visited her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Tidwell then returned home by plane.
Mrs. Sarah Latham was the guest of Mrs. Kay Potter of Culpeper at the annual awards luncheon of Virginia Press Women which was held Sunday at the Holiday Inn, Culpeper. Saturday Mrs. Latham attended the wedding of Miss Georgia Guzi to Charlie Jackson in the Culpeper Catholic Church.
Mr. and Mrs. Roger Lee Stover were honored with a household shower Friday evening at Amissville fire hall. C. D. Rosenberger of Jeffersonton was a caller Tuesday evening of his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Compton.

Topic of Game Meeting is Bears
The proposed change in the Virginia bear season which would make it open with the deer season in late November is expected to draw the most discussion at the Game Commission’s final game law hearing to be held April 29 in Richmond. Several persons and groups have already requested time on the agenda to speak on the bear proposal. The hearing will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the Commission’s Conference Room. Commission action will be largely limited to accepting or rejecting those proposals made at an earlier meeting in March, since new proposal^ “ebiild Jriol l*e,'adveitised;: in time to meet law summary publication deadlines.
