Projections Program of the Office Df Research and Information which involves the preparation of a detailed economic base study with projections to 1980 of population and major economic variables for every economic area of Virginia. The current report represents an update of Statistical Series 70-2 issued in April, 1970 and reflects information included in the 1970 Census of Population and Housing. The long range projections for 2000 and 2020 use the 1980 projections derived from the Economic Base Studies and Projections Program as a base and consider several additional factors.
