Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Promise £arid Baptist Church, Washington for Mrs. Eliza Lucille Evans, 62, of Washington, Va. The Rev. Robert Allsberry, pastor of the church, conducted the services. Burial was in the family cemetery. Mrs. Evans died Tuesday, April 27, 1971 in the University of Virginia Hospital. She was a native of Rappahannock County, widow of George W. Evans and daughter of the late Arthur and Texona Porter Freeman. Survivors include two sons, Major and Raymond Freeman of Washington, Va.; three grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Martha Freeman of Amissville, Mrs. Mary Starks of Woodville, and Miss Rosie Freeman of Washington, Va.; two brothers, Richard Freeman of White Post and Reuben Freeman of Washington, Va.
