The "Miss Rappahannock" title was captured by Miss Martha Lou O’Bannon of Woodville in the Beauty Pageant held Friday night at the local elementary school. A group of a dozen lovely lassies competed for the honor and $100 cash award during the pageant which is sponsored by the Rappahannock Jaycee Chapter. If and when the winner is accepted in a school to further her education she will receive an additional $200 scholarship. “Miss Rappahannock” was crowned by Jaycee president James P. Leake and is pictured with him and Master of Ceremonies for the pageant, Jim Willis.
