Students from the French classes went to Mary Washington College last week to see the play “La Premiere Famille”, translated into English, “The First Family”. Miss Davis, our French professor, took the students for a tour around the college after the performance. She even took them up to the old dormitory where she used to room when she attended Mary Washington.

fruit of our existence - let’s build on to their dreams by protecting the natural setting of Rappahannock County for all to enjoy, both now and years to come. Your support to the League’s effort is earnestly needed in its attempt to prevent generation scars on this land which may never be erased. Electrical engineers have worked diligently updating methods of transmitting power. These new methods are in operation today throughout the world-- and they can be used in our County.
In closing, I would like to quote Thoreau when he spoke out in defense of our natural environment and hopes of preserving it. “This curious world which we inhabit is more wonderful than it is convenient; more beautiful than it is useful, it is more to be admired and enjoyed than used.”
