sisters, Miss Janie F. Gilliam of Phenix and Mrs. Grace Gardner of Galax. A funeral service was held Saturday in Front Royal Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Richard E. Bethune conducting. Interment was in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Members of Unity Lodge No. 146 AF&AM acted as pallbearers.

Mrs. E. A. McNear entertained the Sperryville Bridge Club and additional guests at her home on Friday night.

Her guests were Mrs. T. J. Pillar, Mrs. Brown Miller, Mrs. Mary Quaintance, Mrs. R. E. Wood, Mrs. Edward Haggerty, Mrs. Frank Tabler, Mrs. L. J. Kilby, Mrs. R. E. Thompsen, Mrs. Roy L. Reeve, Mrs. C. H. Estes, Mrs. Elmo Flynt, Mrs. Ralph Styer, Mrs. W. H. Massie, Jr., Mrs. George Davis, jr., Mrs. B. Miller and Mrs. E. M. Jones. Prizes were given Mrs. Styer, Mrs. Haggerty and Mrs. Jones.
