April 13 the Amissville Rescue unit responded to a traffic crash at Clevenger’s Corner but services were not needed. The Amissville fire engine was used to wash down the road and clear the surface of debris.
The rescue unit went to Jeffersonton on the same day and took Mrs. P. B. Kerns to Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton.
Amissville Fire Company responded to a field fire on Route 611 April 14 and to a brush fire the same day on Route 618 at the George Moore property. On the 15th, the rescue squad was called again to Jeffersonton and Mrs. P. B. Kerns was taken a second time to Fauquier Hospital.
On the 16th, Mary Starks was taken from the Walter Fitzhugh home to Fauquier Hospital by the Amissville Rescue Squad.
