Barns >

The Rappahannock News featured a picture of a barn on a well travelled highway the week of April 4 in the barn contest. Only one reply was received and that was from the metropolitan area. Last week, the barn pictured was in the far end of a mountain hollow and response to it was overwhelming — 15 answers were received. The* barn was that of Mrs. Tenie Updike in the Sperryville area on Route 612 and Mrs. Mary Hottle of Sperryville was the name drawn from the entries to receive a year’s subscription to the Rappahannock News. Other correct entries are listed elsewhere.
