Adopt a new regulation to be numbered R6-3.1 as follows: (a) It shall be lawful to hunt deer with primitive weapons (muzzle-loading guns) during the last six hunting days of the bow and arrow season on the national forest lands and on Commission-owned lands west of the Blue Ridge Mountains. (b) The bag limit for hunting deer with a muzzle-loading gun shall be one buck a license year, except one of either sex may be taken in these counties where does are legal during the last day of the regular gun season. (c) A muzzle-loading gun for the purpose of this regulation means a single shot muzzle-loading weapon with a minimum of forty caliber, powered with at least fifty grains of black powder, firing a single projectile. Adopt a new regulation to be numbered R6-3.2 as follows: It shall be unlawful to hunt deer with a shotgun smaller than twenty gauge. Amend Regulation R6-5 to read as follows: The bag limit for deer shall be one a license year, either sex the last day only in the counties of Alleghany, Amherst (west of U.S. - Route 29), Augusta, Bath, Bedford, Botetourt, Campbell (west of Southern Railroad), Clarke, Craig, Frederick, Giles, Highland, Nelson (west of Route 151), Page, Patrick, Rockbridge, Rockingham, Shenandoah and Warren.
