RAPPAHANNOCK COUNTY High’s super-duper cross country team captured its third Class A state championship in as many years of competition. The state meet was held Saturday in Williamsburg on a day declared excellent by athletic coaches.
The Panthers took the third consecutive championship over the 2.4 mile course with a team score of 26. The second place team, Parry McCluer, compiled a score of 62. A perfect score is 15.
