litter or a stray to a clean, staffed shelter where it would have a chance for adoption or, at least, a “putting to sleep.”
It seems unlikely that the Board of Supervisors will, or is able to, fully fund such a shelter. But we ; have people who have long nurtured concern for animals and a willingness to work for a good cause. A worthwhile conversation to have at your next meeting or gathering would be on the establishment of a shelter.
People who care about animals—unite now into action! A society that cannot show practical compassion for its lesser members is a shallow one.
