VIRGINIA’S traffic deaths for the first nine months of 1973 numbered a tentative 925, or nine more than the 916 for the same period of 1972, says Colonel H.W. Burgess, Superintendent of State Police.
Colonel Burgess said he used the word “tentative” because the 1973 figure is certain to be revised upward slightly due to late reports and deaths of persons now carried as injured.
