APPLICATIONS are not necessary from those persons now getting State assistance because they are 65 or over, or blind, or disabled. Eligible persons getting State payments for December will continue to get payments in January when the Federal program starts.
The amount of the monthly check persons will get will depend on how much other income they might have. Persons with no other income at all will have a basic cash income of at least $130 a month for one person and $195 for a couple. Persons with other income may get reduced supplemental security income checks.
