QUILT WINNER
Mrs. Mildred Leake (James) of Sperryville was the recipient of the cathedral window quilt which was given away recently by the Rappahannock Arts and Crafts Group.
The entire project grossed $1,006 to date, .though some contributions promised have not been received. The funds were divided among the various rescue groups in Rappahannock County.
ART SHOWING
Emmy Stone Allen of Flint Hill is holding a one man showing of her creative free form handwork with the theme “Notions” in Alexandria beginning today, Thursday. The show is at Yarns, Etcetera on King Street.
Included in the presentation is collage, needlework and notions and the showing will span six weeks. It is open daily, Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
