Gibbsboro, N. J. He attended Episcopal Academy in Philadelphia and was graduated from the University of Pennsylvania. He returned to Berkeley Divinity School after World War 1, and was graduated in 1920.
When he resigned from St. Albans, Dr. Lucas was asked to become Archdeacon of Maryland, and in 1955 he took charge of St. Johns Episcopal Church in Hagerstown. He served as dean of the Philadelphia Divinity School from 1958 until 1961.
Survivors include his widow, the former Lelia Gordon Noyes, widow of Newbold Noyes, associate editor of the old Washington Evening Star; two daughters, Mrs. James H.Mcquinn of Philadelphia, and
