HOGS—Hog prices worked lower again this week. Hog prices in the GeorgiaFlorida-Alabama direct and auction areas unevenly 50 cents to $1 lower. The major terminal markets posted the same declines.
Trout season
The final phase of the pre-season trout stocking operation is under way, according to Jack Hoffman, Chief of the Game Commission’s Fish Division.
During the stocking operations, which are scheduled to be completed on April 5, just prior to the official opening of the season at noon on April 6, nearly one-half million trout will have been placed in Virginia waters.□
