The RCHS Boy’s Track Team performed at Strasburg Tuesday with scoring as follows: Strasburg 82; Rappahannock 71; Page County 15. Andy Nichols was first in the 220 and 440; Bill Taylor placed first in the 1 and 2 mile; and Milton Fletcher was first in the long jump and triple jump. High Scorer was Raymond Groves with 12 and a fraction points. He captured first in the 100, high jump, mile relay and second in the 440.
The Girls Track Team competed in a meet with Central and Luray Friday. Central placed first with 69 point score. With Miss Spieker as coach, we stomped Luray with a 4312 score. Faye Dunn showed the most outstanding improvement in performance and cleared the high jump at 4’ 7”. Maureen Day was high scorer with 12 points.
Wednesday was a special' day at RCHS when Teacher Appreciation Day was observed. We started the day off with a morning assembly and a skit presented by the SCA. Characters in the skit portrayed Mr. Wingfield, Mr. Patterson,
