(ADDING substance to Luke’s optimistic report on the chances of funding a Sperry ville sewer “solution” was a report given at last Saturday’s meeting of the Upper OccoquanSewage Authority. Millard H. Robbins Jr., executive director of UOSA, was until recently with theSWCB, and he mentioned Sperryville in a report as a specific example of the type of project which may be pushed to the top of state priority lists.
(Added Robbins, in the report to his directors: “The 1974 General Assembly reduced the State matching grant from 10 per cent to 5 per cent and established a fund of $1.5 million for hardship cases. In extreme hardship cases, the locality can receive a State grant of 20 per cent or a total of 95 per cent. The criteria for establishing hardship cases are being developed by the State Water Control Board. Preliminary indications are that hardship cases will be limited to small systems... ”)□
