The entrance features leaded glass windows on both sides of the front door, bluestone on the foyer floor and an old iron lamp of handblown glass, which was originally set over a candle. A slanted ceiling 13 feet high and a see-through fireplace of stone in the living room and dining room are striking features.

FURNISHING items of interest include an inherited antique hunt board, a 200-year old table and a bed under which Lafayette reputedly hid from the British.
