Joy Turner Luke has won competitions and exhibited in galleries and shows all over the East Coast, but she hasn’t shown recently. “I’ve been spending too much time in the last couple of years teaching and investigating. But I’ll do it again, sometime. First, I’ll have to take some time off, to do some painting and get a large body of work together.”
Pulling out some of the can vases she has stashed away in her mountainside studio, Mrs. Luke apologized that “most of the pretty ones, of trees and flowers andT children, are gone.” They sell first, she said.
