IN explaining what her “workshop in color” will be about, Mrs. Luke referred to the Munsell system or “color file” that she uses. Along a shelf sit more than a hundred small file card boxes. Each box is packed with file cards carrying a color chip representing different steps of color. There are twentysome yellow boxes containing file cards showing miniscule differentations between the different steps of color in the yellow range. Scores of boxes contain cards doing the same for the other color families.
