RAPPAHANNOCK’ S Planning Commissioners approved a list ofproposed goals and objectives for the county’s first master plan, at their meeting last Tuesday night. Jim White, a staff member of the Rappahannock-Rapidan Planning District Commission, prepared the report at the Rappahannock County Planning Commission’s request.
The goals statement notes that Rappahannock is “an area of outstanding natural beauty. Many of the county’s residents have chosen it as a place to make their homes and their livings because of the quietude, privacy and agricultural opportunities ’ that such a natural setting can offer.”
