An important aspect of hang-gliding is the length of time a glider is able to stay aloft. When a group of gliders spent Saturday at the Raymond Sutphin farm on Route 729, this young lady timed the flights, most of which ranged from 25 seconds to just over a half minute. Air currents and height of hills determine the time element. The record flight is about 10 hours.
